Staying on budget

How Much Is This Going To Cost?

When it comes to total Wedding cost…well…how long is a piece of string?

After the inital loved up courtship, and the utimate popping of the question, the reality of the cost of a wedding can be scarey to even the most seasoned splurgers…AND their parents.

I have experienced eye popping, eye watering wedding budgets that can exceed well over $100,000. These weddings have EVERYTHING, and are truly spectacular. Once all the componets come together the designer dress, the cars, the flowers, the photographer, the videographer, the venue, the food, the beverages, the music, the wedding planner, the celebrant, and the honeymoon… there will be no change left over. I say nothing wrong with a wedding like that if this is what your heart desires, you can afford to splurge on the day, and it becomes the special day you always wanted.

The larger weddings that cater to over a hundred of guests, are by no means the only satisfying way to beginning a life in matrimonial bliss.

As you will discover in a marriage, many things need to be discussed and agreed to first, and flexibility is key along the way. Planning a wedding is no different. In order to experience a relatively stress free day…and life going forward, our couples are encouraged to have a wedding date, sit down and figure out what is truly important to them, and what is not. The only component of a wedding that is non negotiable is a competent Celebrant, for legal reasons.

We can say our couples also get plenty of satisfaction from a no frills, micro, or intimate wedding. These ceremonies can start as low as $850 with the no frills basic nuptials, to a micro wedding which will set you back a reasonable few thousand dollars.

Getting your priorities clear from the beginning will guide you in your decisions. The number of guests and venue costs will be your largest budget item on the day, but all the extras add up. There are ways to manage all these expenses with a clear vision.

Please keep reading my wedding tips for savings…my next Wedding Tip will be about cutting costs by planning your wedding on a week day, rather than a wedding industry norm weekend.

Stay tuned all you loved up couples to be…
